Riders are reminded that it is a requirement when racing on road circuits with SMCC, that a working tail light must be fitted to your bike. This is to comply with permit conditions from the relevant statutory authorities, failure to adhere to these conditions may jeopardise the race and future permits.

3. The Officer in Charge of Police in attendance has the authority to delay, halt or cancel the event at any stage in the interests of road safety without Victoria Police being liable for any economic loss caused thereby to the applicant or any person or body he or she represents.

18. Any breaches of the Road Safety (Road Rules) regulations1999 may result in individual participants being issued with a traffic infringement notice (on the spot fine).

21. Any breach of these conditions may result in the event being halted and/or the offender being prosecuted. It may also jeopardise the issuing of future permits to the applicant/organisation named in the permit.

Vicroads and local councils also have the authority to stop races for non compliance of permit conditions.

In order to safeguard the current road program and future permits, all bikes will be checked for lights on Sunday at Crib Point. Your cooperation in these matters is expected, as it is your sport, it is in your interest, to make sure all the rules are complied with.
